About Oriente

What is Oriente?
Oriente is a SaaS management platform for Masonic Lodges. It brings together member administration, calendar, finances, announcements and documents — all in one place, with hierarchical role-based access control.
Who is the system for?
For Masonic Lodges of any rite or obedience. Each Lodge has its own isolated environment, accessed by brothers with login and password. Venerable Masters, Secretaries, Treasurers and members each have screens adapted to their access level.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Each Lodge's data is isolated from others in the database. The platform follows data protection guidelines (GDPR-ready), and no sensitive data (financial or personal) is accessible by other clients or the Oriente team without authorization.
How is subscription payment handled?
Payment is processed by Stripe, a globally trusted payment platform regulated in the US and EU. Only credit cards are accepted. Billing is monthly and recurring. Your card data never passes through our servers — it goes directly to Stripe's secure environment.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. No lock-in or cancellation fee. Just go to Lodge Settings and use the subscription management button. Access remains available until the end of the paid period.
Is there a user limit?
No. Register all Lodge brothers at no additional cost per user.

Features

What are the 5 access levels?
The system uses RBAC (role-based access control) with 5 levels: (1) Public — no login; (2) Member — basic panel access; (3) Secretariat — record and document management; (4) Treasury — financial module; (5) Administrative — settings, members and reports. Each brother sees only what their level allows.
How does the Bulletin Board work?
The Secretariat posts announcements in the Bulletin Board module. Members see communications as soon as they log in. Announcements can be pinned (appear first, highlighted) or normal (displayed in carousel). Members also access the full list in 'My Announcements'.
How does the Calendar work?
The Secretariat creates sessions with date, time, type (Public, Grand, Instruction…), location and minimum degree access. Members see only sessions compatible with their degree and can confirm attendance directly through the portal.
What are Masonic Records?
Each brother has a record with personal data, member number, initiation/elevation/exaltation dates, office history, profession and chancellery status. The Secretariat manages records; members access only their own profile.
How does the Financial module work? (Pro Plan)
In the Pro Plan, the Treasurer manages income and expense tracking manually. The module shows a balance summary, dues status per member, and allows the Treasurer to record and confirm payments. No automatic payment integration is required.
What can the Treasurer see in the financial module?
The Treasurer has access to: total balance, list of confirmed and pending payments, manual dues charging for all members, and individual payment records. The Treasurer can mark payments as received with a single click.

Setup & Getting Started

How do I get started after subscribing?
After payment, your account is activated automatically. Go to /login with the email and password you registered. The first access is always as Lodge Administrator. Then go to 'Member Management' to register brothers, and 'Settings' to fill in Lodge data (rite, obedience, number).
How do I register new members?
Go to the 'Member Management' menu (Administrative level). Click 'New Member' and fill in the details. Set the access level (Member, Secretariat, Treasury or Administrative). The brother will receive credentials to access the portal.
What payment methods are accepted for the subscription?
Subscriptions are paid by credit card, processed securely by Stripe. A 7-day free trial is included — no charge until after the trial period ends. Only a valid credit card is required — no additional documentation needed.
Is the system available in English?
Yes. The platform supports English-speaking lodges. The public site, registration, and member portal are available in English. The dashboard uses internationally-recognized Masonic terminology compatible with US Grand Lodges.
