Why generic membership software doesn't fit a Lodge

    Degree is a permission, not a field

    In a club tool, a degree is a tag on a profile. In a Lodge it decides what a brother may read, which meetings he may attend and which papers exist for him at all.

    The Secretary is not an administrator

    Lodge offices don't map onto generic roles. The Secretary, the Treasurer and the Worshipful Master each need a different view, and none of them should need the others' permissions.

    The line changes every year

    Membership platforms assume continuity of staff. A Lodge hands the books to a new brother annually — the system has to survive that handover without losing history.

    Dues are not subscriptions

    A brother who falls behind is still a brother. Collection has to be fraternal and private, which is why standing is visible to the Treasury and never announced in open Lodge.

Frequently asked questions

Is this built for a Blue Lodge or for a Grand Lodge?
For the subordinate Lodge — the Secretary, Treasurer and Worshipful Master of a Blue Lodge. Each Lodge is a separate tenant, with its own roll, its own payment account and its own users. A brother who belongs to more than one Lodge switches between them with the same login.
How is degree privacy handled?
Degree is part of the permission model, not a label. A meeting restricted to Master Masons does not appear on an Entered Apprentice's calendar at all, and papers are filed by the degree entitled to read them. The rule is enforced on the server, not hidden in the interface.
What happens when the line changes?
Nothing walks out the door. Records, minutes, financial history and documents stay with the Lodge. The incoming Secretary and Treasurer inherit a complete history instead of a box of paper and somebody's personal spreadsheet.
Can brethren pay dues online?
Yes. The Lodge connects its own Stripe account and dues are paid by card straight into it — the money never passes through Oriente 33. A Lodge that prefers to collect offline uses Manual Mode, where the Treasurer records each payment by hand.
What does it cost and is there a contract?
Basic is USD 37.90 per month and Pro, with the full financial module, is USD 50.00 per month — per Lodge, with unlimited users. There is a 7-day free trial and no contract; you can cancel at any time.
